Kifaru Hoodlum Pack: A Modular Hunting Pack to Decrease your Burden
One of the most essential pieces of kit that you can take along with you on a western hunt is a methodically-designed hunting pack. This can make the act of carrying your gear much easier, and it can displace the load to your hips – as opposed to your back and shoulders – when carrying out precious game meat after a successful hunt. The new Kifaru Hoodlum Pack is meant to exactly that (displace and decrease the burden of carrying heavy loads on your hunts) so you can stay in the field.

A Word from Kifaru on the NEW Hoodlum Pack
Riverton, Wyoming – June 12th, 2025 – Kifaru, the creators of American-made, backcountry hunting gear, announce major upgrades to the Hoodlum, the go-to expedition pack built for long hauls. Since its 2019 release, the Hoodlum continues to be regarded as the most modular, rugged pack prized by hunters for its reliable comfort even under heavy loads. Now with a new MOLLE system, additional storage solutions and upgraded materials, the Hoodlum is re-engineered for hunters who demand the most out of their gear.
Forged by years of guide feedback, the Hoodlum now offers additional storage space throughout the pack, from the main compartment through the side pockets, to accommodate larger gear. It also comes with additional gear storage with a lower front sleeve to secure rifles, bows, tripod legs, trekking poles or other essentials. The modularity of the Hoodlum, in addition to its comfort-under-load capabilities, make this pack a go-to for the backcountry.
