(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 30 – Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Wednesday summoned Russia’s ambassador to Italy after President Sergio Mattarella and other Italian officials were included on a list of alleged “Russophobes” compiled by Moscow.
“Minister Tajani considers the inclusion of the head of state on this list a provocation to the Republic and to the Italian people and offers his institutional and personal solidarity to President Mattarella,” the Italian foreign ministry said in a statement. (ANSA).
