Milano Cortina 2026 Meets the World’ stops in Seoul

(ANSA) – ROMA, 25 GIU – A stage of the international roadshow Milano Cortina 2026 Meets the World, designed to present the project of the Olympic and Paralympic Games that will be hosted in Italy in 2026 to the world, landed in Seoul. The event took place at High Street Italia, the Made in Italy showroom in Korea managed by the Ice Agency.
At the opening, the Italian Ambassador to Korea, Emilia Gatto, explained that Milan-Cortina 2026 will not only be a great sporting event, but also a celebration of universal values such as friendship, solidarity, sustainability and inclusion: principles that Italy promotes with conviction and responsibility. This was followed by Yuna Kim, Korean Olympic figure skating champion, who shared her personal reflections and enthusiasm for the upcoming Games. Andrea Varnier, CEO of the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation, then spoke about the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games project. The event concluded with a panel moderated by Alberto Mondi, with the participation of Varnier himself, together with the young Korean Paralympic cross-country skiing promise, Kim Yunji, and the General Director of the Training Division of the Korean Paralympic Committee, Cho Changok.
The initiative, during which the digital installation ‘People Of Milano Cortina 2026’ was also presented, represented an important opportunity for international dialogue and collaboration through sport, an important vehicle for spreading the values of inclusion, sustainability and friendship.
