United Talent Agency cashes in more wins on longtime Australian superstar Kylie Minogue, as Netflix announces a three-part documentary about her.

Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming three-part documentary about Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue. Simply titled “Kylie,” the series promises to center on the life and career of one of Australia’s biggest stars. The trailer includes newly recorded commentary from Minogue, as well as archival footage across her decades-long career, including behind-the-scenes moments and live performances.

Directed by Michael Harte, “Kylie” presents Minogue reflecting on her life and career and the challenges that have come with them, including her breast cancer diagnosis in 2005. Intimate moments with her friends and family also feature heavily, including her sister Dannii, ex-boyfriend Jason Donovan, musician Nick Cave, and music producer Pete Waterman.

The trailer’s release is well-timed. Kylie Minogue was recently confirmed as the headliner for this year’s AFL Grand Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on September 26. She will be the first Australian artist to headline the event since 2021, and it will also mark her first appearance there.

“The AFL Grand Final at Melbourne’s one and only, forever iconic MCG? Yes please!” said Minogue. “As a Melburnian, I’m so excited to be coming home for the biggest day in the Aussie sporting calendar. I’ll not only be performing, but I’ll be one of 100,000 fans at the ‘G, watching the wonder that is footy.”

Kylie also won the Global Icon Award at the 2024 BRIT Awards, just a month after signing her deal with the United Talent Agency (UTA). That deal covered the star’s live entertainment and touring run in the U.S. and Canada, as well as acting endeavors worldwide.

Kylie Minogue first came to public attention in the 1980s for her role in the Aussie soap opera “Neighbours.” Since then, she’s become a pop music force and the highest-selling Australian female artist of all time. She has amassed over 80 million record sales worldwide and over five billion streams. Last year, her 2001 hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” came in at #2 on Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s list of the Best Australian and New Zealand Songs of the 21st Century So Far.
