(ANSA) – ROME, APR 26 – Marc Marquez consolidated his position at the top of the MotoGP standings by winning the Spanish Grand Prix sprint race at Jerez de la Frontera on Saturday.
The Spanish Ducati factory team rider finished ahead of his brother Alex of Team Gresini, who is also second in the standings.
Marc Marquez’s team mate, Italy’s twice world champion Francesco Bagnaia, came third.
France’s Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo, who starts Sunday’s main event in pole position, crashed out of the sprint. (ANSA).
