(ANSA) – ROMA, 12 GIU – On the occasion of Music Day, the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna hosts, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy and Enit, a concert by the most talented guitar students of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, coordinated and conducted by Andrea De Vitis. The programme includes pieces by composers from the first half of the 19th century – Anton Diabelli, Mauro Giuliani, Marco Aurelio Zani de Ferranti – to offer an overview of a musically fascinating period: on the one hand, the formal perfection and elegance of Viennese classicism, evocative of Haydn and Mozart; on the other, the melodic intensity and lyricism of Italian bel canto, inspired by masters such as Rossini and Paisiello.
The first part of the concert will take place on Monday at 6 p.m. in the Dante Hall, the second part to follow in the garden of the Sternberg Palace.
