Laszlo Krasznahorkai is the winner of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Literature award. The Hungarian novelist and screenwriter is trending globally after winning the prestigious award. Krasznahorkai has engraved his name in history books as he becomes only the second Hungarian author after the late legendary Imre Kertész, who won the 2002 Nobel Prize in Literature. According to industry experts, Laszlo Krasznahorkai was the favourite to win the award, and the only person who could’ve changed that was the avant-garde Chinese writer, Can Xue. It seems like Can Xue has to wait a bit longer because the 2025 Novel Prize in Literature award is going to Hungary with Laszlo Krasznahorkai. The author will receive the medal and diploma in the formal ceremony that will take place in Stockholm.
