When it comes to the Star Wars franchise, few names carry as much weight as Ewan McGregor, who has been playing Obi-Wan Kenobi for the better part of the last 30 years. After starring in a trio of prequel films, McGregor finally returned a few years ago to headline the long-awaited Disney+ seriesObi-Wan Kenobi, which also stars Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. However, just because McGregor’s name is synonymous with Star Wars success doesn’t mean he hasn’t had an accomplished career outside the genre. After earning his first Emmy nod back in 1997 for his guest performance in the hit medical drama ER, McGregor scored another nomination 20 years later for his performance in Fargo, the critically acclaimed drama series written by Noah Hawley.
