Over 100 Shelter Pets Rescued on Back-to-Back Flights to Freedom

Thanks to your generous support, two Flights to Freedom rescued over 100 shelter cats and dogs from overcrowded shelters and flew them to new shelters to find loving homes.

On May 30, 72 cats and 1 dog boarded the flight out of Iowa and headed to the Pacific Northwest to find new homes. While some cats traveled better than others, all were meowing as volunteers and staff unloaded them from the plane.

The cats are settling in at their new shelters and ready to meet adopters. Our very own Vice President of Publishing, Alec Griffith, and his family helped greet the new felines at the shelter and even adopted one!

He and his family fell in love with a sweet feline called “Dove” and took her home over the weekend.

There are many more happy tales in store for these pet passengers. Your donations are saving lives.

Shelters are so overcrowded and overwhelmed that we conducted back-to-back flights.

On June 2, 50 dogs and 10 cats left Louisiana and headed to Wisconsin to find a family of their own. As the wheels touched down, staff and volunteers were eagerly waiting to welcome each pet and transport them back to the shelter.

Ruthie and King never stopped wagging their tails and are sure to steal hearts at their new shelters.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for stepping up and helping us fund two flights to save as many shelter pets as possible. We are already planning our next flight on June 30. Donate today to save more lives.
