Tramp and Lady are two very special kiddos. Tramp is 4.5 months and Lady is 5 months of age. Tramp is a completely deaf baby and Lady has breathing problems due to internal scar tissue and cannot play like most kittens her age.
Hubby and I adopted Tramp to give Lady a playmate since she lost her big brother Dwarf Holland Lop Ear bunny, Stitch, on the 11th of last month. She was extremely bonded to him and misses him greatly. She had taken to long crying sessions which caused us to feel it appropriate to find her a new playmate/sibling.

Hubby and I rescue animals as space and finances permit and have many species here but no others that we could fit to Lady as a potential bonding mate. So we went in search of a new sibling for her. Enter Tramp. Rescued by a local organization and raised by the bottle as he was abandoned by his Mum. Presumably because he is deaf. That has not stopped this little boy’s will to live a happy life. He is an absolute sweetheart and is always ready to ask to be picked up for snuggles and cuddles. He was passed over many a time before due to him being black and deaf. Hubby and I can’t imagine why and we shake our heads in disgust over it. Specially abled babies are awesome! We have a number of specially abled kids here that we’ve rescued already.
The first time hubby picked up Tramp, Tramp showered him in kisses. He chose us, not the other way around, though we were specifically looking to give another special needs baby a home. Lady and Tramp will now have a permanent home with us for as long as they live. They are part of our family now and will never be rejected by anyone ever again. Lady and Tramp are now learning to communicate in their own special way.
Don’t ever give up on an animal just because they’re specially abled/due to their color. They make the best and most loving babies!
