Power Book IV: Force Season 3: Everything We Know About The Final Season

Power Book IV: Force Season 3: Everything We Know About The Final Season

The wait is (almost) over for Power Book IV: Force Season 3!

The much-anticipated final chapter of Tommy Egan’s Chicago story is set to conclude this fall, and Power fans are eager to see how things unfold for him and whether this ending could potentially lead to a new beginning.

Because in the world of Power, you can never be sure that the end is really the end.

Tommy’s Chicago journey was fraught from the start, and much of Power Book IV: Force Season 1 centered on him establishing himself in the drug world of a new city, making allies, avoiding enemies, and connecting with long-lost family.

While the first season served as a nice entryway into a new world, the series took a significant step forward with Power Book IV: Force Season 2. The announcement that the series would conclude after the third season came as a shock to fans.

At least there was seemingly enough time for the series to wrap up on its own terms and tell the story it wants to tell.

What story will that be? And when will it start? We’ve got some answers for you here, as we look ahead to what’s to come!

When Will The Final Season of Power Book IV: Force Premiere?

The good news is that we have a premiere date. But the bad news is that we still have some time to wait.

Power Book IV: Force Season 3 will premiere on Friday, November 7th!

As has been customary with other Power series, the episodes will be available at midnight on Friday before airing on Starz that same evening.

It’ll be almost exactly two years by the time we get Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 1, which is wild when you think about it. But that’s the way television works nowadays.

The years between seasons are no longer a foreign concept and have become commonplace, especially for cable series.

Which Cast Members Will Return For The Final Season?

At the end of the second season, many different storylines were changing, but all the principal characters were still in place and expected to return for the final season.

Those include:

  • Shane Harper – Vic Flynn
  • Kris D. Lofton – Jenard Sampson
  • Anthony Fleming – JP Gibbs
  • Lucien Cambric – Darnell McDowell

  • Adrienne Walker – Shanti Page
  • Carmela Zumbado – Mireya Garcia
  • Manuel Eduardo Ramirez – Miguel Garcia

There will likely be some new faces that pop up, as well as some familiar ones, but the core cast from the most recent season is expected to return.

What Will Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Be About?

Since it’s been about two years, it’s easy to forget where things left off.

Much of the season revolved around Tommy trying to establish himself as the top dog in Chicago, which put him at odds with many people and on the Feds’ radar.

He also fell in love with Mireya Garcia, and the revelation of their secret relationship was a betrayal of her brother, Miguel, who already had a fractured and uneasy relationship with Tommy.

At the end of the season, Tommy and Mireya’s plans to ride off into the sunset were thwarted by Miguel (and Jenard and Shanti), while Claudia got shanked in jail, and Tommy was once again estranged from his family.

Per the official press release from Starz, “In season three, Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) is back with an ever-growing list of enemies. With the Feds on his tail and street gangs trying to take him down, Tommy must be strategic in his quest to take over Chicago’s drug game, while also protecting those he loves the most.”

Tommy has been on a mission to take over Chicago’s drug game since Power Book IV: Force Season 1 Episode 1, but knowing this is the final season adds a certain level of intrigue to things.

Will he succeed? Will he fail?

Or maybe he’ll realize Chicago was never going to be his and move on to the next thing.

There are many different ways Tommy’s story could unfold, which makes this season particularly intriguing.

How Many Episodes Will Season 3 Have?

Most Power seasons have historically consisted of ten episodes, including the final season of Power Book II: Ghost, which concluded last fall.

This season does not appear to be any different.

While it would be ideal to have a large episode count, especially knowing this is the last season, ten episodes still give them plenty of time to tell a complete story.

You can cover a lot of ground in ten episodes, and considering their track record, it should be a busy but gratifying season.

Is There A Trailer?

There is a mini-trailer for the final season, and it’s as explosive as it is action-packed.

As previously mentioned, Tommy ended the season on a sour note, but the trailer shows a Tommy who looks determined and like he’s on a mission.

There’s lots of violence, smirks, yells, and everything in between throughout the thirty-second clip, and it sets the stage for a thrilling conclusion to what’s overall been a fun ride with Tommy in a new city.

While an extended trailer may emerge as the series approaches its premiere date, the teaser is enough to get you excited!

As November 7th approaches, be sure to check out the teaser and let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing in the final season.

Do you think this is truly the end for Tommy Egan?

Or may the Power Universe have one more trick up its sleeve?

We’ll be back to cover the series as we’ve always done, and look forward to hearing from you! This iteration of the Power franchise may be ending, but there’s still so much more on the horizon.
