Tommy’s not playing around when it comes to Mireya’s safety. And can you blame him?
The Chicago streets are hot right now, and considering both Mireya and Tommy have been shot at recently, it makes all the sense in the world that he’d want to keep her as safe as possible.
But as you’ll see in this exclusive sneak peek from Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 3, Tommy and Mireya don’t see eye-to-eye on her spending time with her big brother.
Things between Tommy and Miguel are bound to come to a head at some point during Power Book IV: Force Season 3, with Mireya squarely in the middle yet again, but until that day comes, she’s still straddling the fence between the man she loves and the brother she used to adore.
With the increased scrutiny and threats, Tommy wants to ensure that Mireya is as safe as possible and not putting herself in harm’s way, but it’s hard for Mireya to stay away from Miguel, even after everything he’s put her through.
The two share a bond that formed long before Tommy came to Chicago, and it’s been pretty clear since we met Mireya that she’s going to do what she wants at the end of the day, even if it means upsetting one of the men in her life.
We so seldom get to see the softer side of Tommy that only the woman in his life can bring out of him.
In this clip, you get a glimpse of domestic Tommy as he and Mireya talk about her day, and for a few brief moments, you can forget that this is a show about drugs, greed, and the pursuit of power by any means necessary.
But only for a few moments.
The moment is, of course, shattered by Tommy’s fears, and it’s not likely to be the only thing during this hour that gets Tommy upset.
Elsewhere during this one, Tommy will have to do damage control with his coalition buddies in the aftermath of the hit on Chavo, and we’ll also see things between him and Vic hit a fever pitch.
There are a lot of different things happening thus far, and Tommy’s finding himself right in the thick of things, though there are a few things he’s not aware of, like Diamond and Jenard’s plans with his nephew.
With Diamond and Jenard on opposite sides of how to handle the D-Mac situation, you have to wonder how long Jenard will be able to keep him alive before his plan comes out.
Or will Diamond get to D-Mac first?
As longtime Power watchers, we all know things move fast, so expect another bloody and action-packed hour as the series moves towards its series finale!
