Queen & King of the Court Finals 2024 | French-German and Dutch titles in Doha, Qatar
From December 12 to 14, some of the world’s best beach volleyball players competed for the titles of Queen & King of the Cour 2024. It was the fourth year in a row, that the Aspire Zone in Doha hosted the season Finals. In the men’s we had a first in Queen & King of the Court history, as three athletes were crowned.
Stefan Boermans (NED) had to drop out of the Final after two rounds to be replaced by countryman Steven van de Velde. Yorick de Groot and his new partner continued and took the title in surprise. German Duo Clemens Wickler and Nils Ehlers won silver and the bronze medals went the way of France’s Calvin Aye and Rémi Bassereau. On the women’s side French Lézana Placette and Sandra Ittlinger from Germany claimed the crown, after a tight final in which they beat Germans Cinja Tillmann and Svenja Müller who secured second place. Dutch opponents Katja Stam and Wies Bekhuis made it on the podium in third place.
