It was on June 19, 2025, when a media interaction was hosted in JW Marriott, Juhu, for the upcoming comedy drama detective series, Mistry. As per a report by MidDay, Ram, who was seated with the JioHotstar executives and Mona Singh for the interview, made them uncomfortable with his s**ually inappropriate comments. MidDay reported that an insider of JioHotstar revealed that the content and tone of Ram Kapoor’s ‘jokes’ were unprofessional. Giving an instance about what happened, the insider said that Ram had back-to-back interviews that day, and to refer to this, he said he felt like ‘gang r**ed’. The insider revealed:
“The tone and content of his ‘jokes’ were unprofessional. He had back-to-back interviews that day. Referring to the work pressure at one point, he said he feels ‘gang-r**ed’. This remark was made while one journalist was setting up her mic.”
