Hailed as one of the highest-paid actresses of her time, Ramya Krishnan was the top heroine in the Tamil and Telugu cinema in the 90s. Ramya made her acting debut with the Malayalam film, Neram Pularumbol, however, the film got delayed. She then went on to star in a few supporting roles in Tamil and Telugu.
In 1993, she made her Hindi film debut with Yash Chopra’s Parampara, which was followed by films like Khalnayak, Chaahat, Banarasi Babu, Criminal, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Shapath. In an acting career spanning more than four decades, Ramya Krishnan has worked in more than 200 films across five languages. In 2015, Ramya’s portrayal of ‘Rajamata Sivagami Devi’ in Baahubali: The Beginning and its sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion was highly appreciated.
