Red Bull Romaniacs World’s toughest hard enduro rallye kicks off with in-city prologue in Sibiu
yesterday, in its 22nd edition, the world’s toughest hard enduro rallye, the Red Bull Romaniacs kicked off with the in-city prolog in Sibiu. This year, for the very first time, the Extreme Enduro Rally World Champion will be crowned at the Red Bull Romaniacs. The man-made Prolog course was relentless, showing no mercy between obstacles, it is one after another which was a tough challenge for competitors. The 35 fastest Competitors from the qualifications competed in multi lap races to become the Romaniacs Prolog champion
Billy Bolt (GBR) dominated the tracks, appearing to be in a race of his own, almost in a class of his own – a well-deserved Prolog winner. Mitch Brightmore (GBR) was pushing hard to catch Bolt, but he ended up battling instead with Manuel Lettenbichler (GER) for all ten laps for the second place as Bolt separated himself from the pack. Lettenbichler, the 2024 Red Bull Romaniacs champion, held his third position for all ten laps right up to the finish.
At today’s offroad day 1 all the competitors from more than 60 nations will be challenged in the Romanian Carpathian Mountains.
