(ANSA) – ROMA, 02 GIU – The Italian Embassy in Accra celebrated Republic Day with a reception at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador, Laura Ranalli. The aim was to honour the institution of the Italian Republic and the historic friendship between Italy and Ghana. Representing the Government of Ghana were the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emelia Arthur; the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George; the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini and the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Yussif Issaka Jajah. Traditional Authorities present included the King of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, Queen Mother Mama Bobi III; representatives of the Ga Mantse, and a representation of the Queens Mothers Association. In addition to Ambassador Ranalli, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Italian community in Ghana, the diplomatic corps and international organisations, and exponents of Ghana’s cultural, political, economic and intellectual world.
