(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 14 – The Rimaggio stream overflowed its banks in the Sesto Fiorentino district of Florence as intense rain battered the city on Friday.
All the main roads near the stream in the district north of Tuscany’s main city were flooded.
The intense rain that peltered the area also flooded other parts of the city, local authorities said.
The local administration warned residents on social media not to leave their homes and to move to the upper floors of buildings.
