One such show is Netflix’s new offering, Saare Jahan Se Accha. This show stars Pratik Gandhi, Rajat Kapoor, and Sunny Hinduja, among others. The premise of the story is based on the crucial ’70s of India, and depicts the geopolitics of the time. However, is the story based on true events? Let’s find out.

Is Saare Jahan Se Accha based on a true story?

Pratik Gandhi plays the role of ‘Vishnu Shankar’, a RAW agent who is given the responsibility of blocking Pakistan from making a nuclear bomb during a time of high geopolitical tensions. Sunny Hinduja plays the role of ISI Chief ‘Murtaza Malik’ who is hellbent on making the nuclear bomb under the direction of the President, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
