Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is set to operationalise its Tasra coking coal mines in Jharkhand by the second half of 2026. This will help SAIL increase its domestic coking coal supply from current 16% to meet its growing needs. The mine’s peak production capacity is 4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
