Shiny Doshi is one of the most popular actresses in the Hindi television industry. With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saraswatichandra, Shiny made her debut in 2013. Since then, she appeared in many television soap operas, including Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, Jamai Raja, Laal Ishq and Pandya Store. However, the actress became emotional and broke down in a recent interview sharing her strained bond with her father.
Shiny Doshi opens up about her bond with her late father
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shiny became emotional while opening up about her bond with her late father. The actress shared that there was an uneasiness between her and her father. Shiny also mentioned as her father left her mother and brother, she was forced to earn money early to help her family survive. Shiny also recalled that once, her father called her a ‘prostitute’ when she was just 16 years old. The actress also broke down in the interview, recalling the bitter moments she had with her father. Talking about the uneasy connection she had with her father, Shiny said:
“My father used to call me prostitute. Meri print shoots Ahmedabad mein kaafi late chalti thi — kabhi kabhi 2 ya 3 baje raat ko pack-up hota tha. Mumma har shoot mein mere saath hoti thi, tab main sirf 16 saal ki thi. Aur jab hum ghar aate the, toh aisa nahi tha ki woh poochhte, ‘Tum theek ho? Safe ho?’ Woh kharab words bolte the — jaise, ‘Raat ke 3 baje tak beti ko le jaa rahi ho? Dhandha karwa rahi ho kya? He had a bad language.”
