(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 29 – Bologna continued their drive to qualify for the Champions League for a second consecutive season on Saturday, beating second-bottom Venezia 1-0 away from home thanks to a goal by Riccardo Orsolini shortly after the break.
The win ensures that Bologna remain in fourth place, which is good for a place in Europe’s premier club competition, at the end of the weekend’s fixtures.
They have 56 points from 30 games, four points more than fifth-placed Juventus, who take on Genoa at home later on Saturday under new coach Igor Tudor after Thiago Motta was sacked.
Meanwhile, Como, who are 13th, were held 1-1 at home by third-from-bottom Empoli. (ANSA).
