Soccer: Lecce sack Giampaolo despite safety act

(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 10 – Lecce on Tuesday sacked Marco Giampaolo despite his securing safety for the Puglia club on the last day of Serie A with a 1-0 win over Lazio.
The 57-year-old Swiss-born ex Milan, Torino, Samp, Cremonese, Empoli and Cagliari tactician had been in charge since last summer.
The Italian media have put ex Roma, Samp, Cagliari and Verona boss Eusebio Di Francesco, ex Spartak Moscow, Venezia and Torino manager Paolo Vanoli, and ex Torino, Genoa, Salernitana, Empoli and Cagliari manager Davide Nicola in the fame to take over at Lecce. (ANSA).
