(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 14 – Tests on Italy’s speed cameras to make sure they are working properly and not abused to bring in extra council profits will be completed within two months, the transport ministry said Thursday.
Local authorities will have until the end of September to file data on all their cameras on a new ministry app, it said.
Italian motoring groups have long complained about speed cameras they say have been rigged to punish motorists and make financial capital for council budgets. (ANSA).
