It may have escaped your attention, but emerging US singer-songwriter and producer Naomi August released a brand new album at the end of February. Twelve tracks long, Daylight Moon embodies Naomi’s dreamy fusion of R&B with indie elements.
With introspective lyrics tackling emotional disillusionment and self-reflection, the focus track “American Zen” is about finding peace in the middle of chaos. I find its laidback vibe quite calming.
This album is generally very impressive, and is worth listening to in its entirety. And, while at at, do check out Naomi August on Instagram.
