Streamlight Introduces the SL-SideSaddle Headlamp for Hats
Whether it’s work, camping, fishing, shooting, hunting, or just getting chores done around the house, nothing can come in handy quite as well as a good headlamp. Streamlight, which most people often associate with weaponlights, has announced the release of their new SL-SideSaddle headlamp. What makes this headlamp unique is that it’s designed from the ground up to work with your existing headwear, whether that be a hard hat, bump helmet, or just a regular baseball hat.

Streamlight Introduces the SL-SideSaddle Headlamp for Hats
Built for rugged use, the SL-SideSaddle series features a tough polycarbonate thermoplastic construction and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens that is impervious to shock and drop-tested to withstand a 2-meter impact. The hat light system, for mounting on a baseball hat or bump cap, includes mounting hardware to securely attach the SL-SideSaddle. The universal mounting system provides the necessary strap and mounts that allow the light to be attached to athletic climbing or safety helmets.
The SL-SideSaddle® is a hands-free lighting system that is lightweight and compact. It is designed to mount to a wide variety of hats, hard hats and safety helmets, integrating seamlessly without interfering with visors, hearing protection, or other accessories. Featuring two ultra-bright front LED with spot, flood and spot/flood combined beams, as well as a blue rear safety taillight allowing the user to see and be seen for increased safety. Both front and rear lights are programmable for function and output.

The USB version of the light is 3 inches long and 1.72 inches wide, with a height of 1.14 inches and a weight of 3.1 ounces. The alkaline version of the light measures 3 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and 1.14 inches tall, and weighs 3.4 ounces with batteries installed. The lights have MSRPs of $94.34 (USB) and $62.54 (alkaline) and are backed by Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
