(ANSA) – SKOPJE, 06 GIU – The ‘Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino’, a historic group from Salento that reinterprets the traditions of the pizzica tarantata in a contemporary key, was the protagonist in Skopje of a concert as part of the inauguration of the 24th edition of Offest, organised by the Skopski Jazz Festival, with the support of the Italian Embassy.
On stage – the embassy reported in a note – seven extraordinary musicians and a skilful dancer were able to involve and drag the large audience of the Skopje National Opera and Ballet in an emotional journey through the pressing rhythms of various musical instruments including the typical hypnotic tambourine, energetic movements and the evocative power of evocative songs.
