TAZ Unleashed: Brandon Niederauer Drops ‘Say Something’

22-year-old Brandon Niederauer has released his debut single, “Say Something,” and it’s clear he’s not easing in quietly. Produced by GRAMMY-winner Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, the track blends pop, rock, and R&B into a bold, genre-crossing groove that sounds like a hit.

Nicknamed “Taz” by his guitar teacher William Mignoli, who likened his whirlwind playing style to the Looney Tunes’ Tasmanian Devil, Brandon Niederauer got his big break starring in the Broadway production of School of Rock. Since then, he’s appeared on major television programs including The Ellen ShowThe Late Show with Stephen ColbertGood Morning AmericaThe View, and Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It.

“Say Something” captures the emotional whiplash of conflict and reconciliation with a loved one, carrying the same fiery energy TAZ unleashes on stage. Already a seasoned performer despite his age, he’s built his name trading licks with legends like The Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, Slash, Stevie Nicks, Jon Batiste, Lady Gaga, Quinn XCII, Gary Clark Jr., Mac DeMarco, and The Revivalists — just to name a few. Playing the music scene is nothing new; he has been sharing the stage with these musicians for most of his young life.
