(ANSA) – MOSCA, 21 MAG – The 7th edition of the Universiade della Lingua Italiana, an international online Italian language competition, took place in Belarus. Born in the universities of Minsk in 2018 thanks to Professor Bettoni (of the ANILS association), the competition grows year by year spreading all over the world, with almost 200 students in Belarus and over 2000 participants from 30 countries for this year.
During the award ceremony for the best students, at the Italian Embassy Residence, the winners received diplomas of merit for their outstanding achievements. Embellishing the event was an extraordinary musical performance by tenor Yurij Gorodetskij and pianist Polina Zadreiko, soloists from the Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk, who performed famous opera arias and traditional Neapolitan pieces, offering the audience a journey through the elegance of Italian bel canto.
