(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 5 – One worker died and two others were injured after being hit by a truck while they were working on fiber optic cable installation in Calabria on Friday.
The accident occurred in Sinopoli, in the Reggio Calabria region, on a downhill stretch of road.
According to initial reports, the truck, owned by the company the workers worked for, suddenly moved, perhaps due to a brake failure, hitting a small construction vehicle, which in turn hit the three workers. (ANSA).
