Tunis, Amb. Prunas opens an event on youth and climate

(ANSA) – TUNISI, 24 GIU – The Italian ambassador to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, opened the event ‘Youth, Climate, and Sustainable Development in the Mediterranean: Italy and Tunisia for a new generation of cooperation’, organised in collaboration between the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (Mase), the National Youth Council (Cng) and the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Centre (Medrec), and on the Tunisian side; by the Institute of Agricultural Research and Higher Studies (Iresa) in collaboration with the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (Inat). This was announced by the Italian Diplomatic Representation on its social channels, specifying that it was ‘a day of discussion between institutions and young Italian and Tunisian actors of change on the great challenges of our time, to build together a future of sustainable development and opportunities for the Mediterranean’. The day, part of the global Youth4Climate initiative, promoted by Mase and Undp, brought together institutions and young people for an open and constructive discussion on the current great challenges, with a specific focus on the climate crisis and the need to promote sustainable development. The primary objective is to build together a future of opportunities for the Mediterranean, with the new generations at the centre.
