SFT World Cup Lake Traunsee – 2025
The 10th edition of Lakeventure at the Rindbach recreation area in Ebensee on Lake Traunsee came to a spectacular close on Sunday. Local hero Viola Lippitsch (AUT) secured the overall Pump Foil World Cup title at her home event, marking the biggest success of the 17-year-old’s career so far.
Spalinger Wins Final Event – Lippitsch Takes the Overall Crown
At the season finale of the Upper Austria SFT Pump Foil World Cup Traunsee, Lippitsch finished third behind Sarah Spalinger (SUI), who won the event, and Austria’s Lena Oberperfler, who impressed with a sensational second place in her World Cup debut. For the overall standings, Lippitsch’s third place was enough: thanks to her consistent performances throughout the season, the young Viennese athlete was crowned the first overall champion of the newly established Pump Foil Tour.
Behind her, Katrin Kolo (SUI) claimed second place in the final rankings, while Spalinger’s victory at Lake Traunsee secured her third place overall. Viola Lippitsch:“I’m super proud to have wrapped up the overall World Cup here in Austria. I’ve been to this spot many times and I just love it here. It was a fantastic event, and I couldn’t be happier right now – moments like this don’t happen every day. It was the very first year of the SLT Tour, and to win it is really special. Congratulations to everyone else as well, it was a tough battle and a lot of fun.”
Swiss Double Triumph in the Men’s Field
The men’s overall champion had already been determined before the Lake Traunsee finale: Eden Finander (SUI)dominated the entire season and celebrated not only the overall title but also victory at the final stop in Ebensee. Behind him, Rob von Roll (SUI) and Jurij Schneider (AUT)battled for second place until the very last race. In the end, von Roll defended his position, while Schneider claimed bronze both at the home event and in the overall World Cup standings.
Jurij Schneider: “It was a wonderful event, I’m really happy to have been part of it and I’m already looking forward to next year. Lake Traunsee is simply beautiful and a great place to race.”
Edan Finander: “Of course it feels great to win the overall World Cup, but above all I’m happy to be part of this sport and this community – and to do so at such a stunning location.”
Wingfoil Austrian Championships: Siraki and Lippitsch Victorious
In addition to the international Pump Foil competitions, the Austrian Wingfoil Championships held their second tour stop at Lakeventure.
