VNR Alert: Final Day Highlights – Women’s Constant Weight (CWT)

The final day of women’s competition at the 35th AIDA Freediving World Championship delivered high drama, elite performances, and historic achievements in the Constant Weight (CWT) discipline — the most iconic and competitive category in depth freediving. With the sun breaking through after a weather delay, the world’s top female freedivers took to the depths of Limassol Bay for their final dives, setting new records and determining the championship’s overall podium.

What is Constant Weight (CWT)?

In CWT, athletes dive under their own power — using either a monofin or bi-fins — without pulling on the rope or dropping ballast. It’s considered the flagship event of depth freediving, testing both strength and technique.

CWT Women’s Podium

  1. Enchante Gallardo (USA) – 104m (Americas Continental Record)
  2. Tatiana Zemskikh (AIN) – 97m
  3. Talya Davidoff (South Africa) – 95m (Africa Continental Record)

Enchante Gallardo delivered a powerful and clean 104-meter dive, earning her gold and setting a new continental record for the Americas. Gallardo continues to prove her status as one of the sport’s rising stars, with a strong season still ahead.

Tatiana Zemskikh, entering the competition at the last moment, stunned the field with a solid 97-meter dive to take silver. Meanwhile, Talya Davidoff claimed bronze and added yet another continental record for Africa to her name — reinforcing her position as one of the top freedivers from the continent.

New National Records Set in Women’s CWT

A celebration of the sport’s expanding global reach, the final day saw multiple national records established:

  • 🇭🇺 Hungary – Zsófia Törőcsik: 90m
  • 🇭🇷 Croatia – Sanda Delija: 87m
  • 🇦🇺 Australia – Jade Macdonald Razvi: 83m

Overall Women’s Ranking – 35th AIDA Freediving World Championship

After a week of fierce competition across all depth disciplines — Free Immersion (FIM), Constant Weight No Fins (CNF), Constant Weight with Bi-Fins (CWTB), and CWT — the final overall rankings were revealed:

1. Zsófia Törőcsik (Hungary)

  •  FIM World Champion
  • CNF Silver Medalist
  • CWTB Bronze Medalist
  • After dominating in the pool earlier this year, Törőcsik’s depth debut has confirmed her as one of the most complete athletes in freediving.
  • Awarded the Natalia Molchanova Award for overall champion.
2. Talya Davidoff (South Africa)
  • Consistent podium finishes and continental records across all disciplines
  • 2nd place overall caps off a historic performance for African freediving
 3. Sanda Delija (Croatia)
