Vortex Sport Cantilever Mount Now in 34MM | OHUB News
Earlier this year, Vortex Optics, known for its VIP Warranty and Vortex Nation brand, released the Sport Cantilever line of AR mounts. These mounts bridged a gap in the market between low-budget (and often poor quality) options and ultra-expensive ones (don’t look at the price of a Badger mount). The initial release included 1-inch and 30mm mounts, which are still the most common tube sizes today, although that is gradually changing. There was one obvious size missing—34mm.
34MM Cantilever Mount
Over time, 1-inch scope tubes will become outdated, giving prominence to 30mm and 34mm tubes. This shift makes sense because larger tubes can house bigger erector assemblies and offer more internal adjustment. Optics manufacturers can also incorporate advanced reticles into larger tubes—have you ever seen a 1-inch FFP scope with a Christmas-tree reticle? They don’t exist. It also aligns well with Vortex’s product lineup, especially since the Venom and Strike Eagle series with 3-15, 3-18, and 5-25 magnifications require a 34mm mount and are among Vortex’s most popular options.

Zooming Out
This is a much-needed addition to the Sport Optics family. Furthermore, there aren’t many affordable 34mm mount options available—especially those that are affordable. Well, Vortex has solved that issue. The Sport Cantilever Mount, with a height of 1.5″ (available in 34mm, 30mm, and 1″ tube sizes), is now available as of the posting of this article.
