The all-new American drama series, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, is reigniting global interest in the real story of Amanda Knox, an American college student who was wrongfully convicted of the murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher. In what would later become one of the world’s most infamous murder trials, the series revisits the harrowing case of 2007 that forever changed the lives of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito, her then-boyfriend, who was also wrongfully convicted in the case.
After spending years trying to rebuild his life in Italy, Sollecito, now 41, made a rare red carpet appearance on August 20, 2025, for the series. He reunited with Knox and posed alongside her and the actors who portray their younger selves in the show, Giuseppe De Domenico (Raffaele Sollecito) and Grace Van Patten (Amanda Knox). Seeing them reunited after enduring perhaps the most unforgiving storm of their lives, the audience has once again developed interest in knowing about the wrongfully accused ex’s life now.
