(ANSA) – ROMA, 05 SET – The Italian Embassy in Helsinki welcomed Tinja-Riikka Korpela, captain of the Finnish women’s national soccer team, to its premises on Thursday! “Tinja-Riikka is not only an inspirational leader in sports, but also a champion in Italy: as goalkeeper of AS Roma, she celebrated the historic Serie A Scudetto in the 2023/24 season,” the embassy pointed out in a Facebook post. “With an extraordinary international career throughout Europe, he continues to be a role model for athletes around the world.” Together with the ambassador, Nicola Todaro Marescotti, “the meeting was held at the Embassy’s Red Bench, a symbol of the strong commitment of Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination against women, in Italy and around the world.
