Sanjay Khan did not back out of helping those trapped in the fire, which spread rapidly after a faulty electrical wiring fault. Well, it was Sanjay who suffered 65 per cent burns and had to stay in the hospital for 13 months, along with going through 72 surgeries. It was Zarine Khan who stood like a strong pillar by her husband; even her heart was shattered into a million pieces, seeing him in such a state. She once recalled watching her handsome husband turn bloated and black with burns.
