Chiranjeevi And Trisha's 'Vishwambhara' To Show 'Loka' Concept Of Hinduism, 'There Are 14 Lokalu..'

Fantasy films, especially those that blend action, drama, and mythology, have always been a favourite among audiences. In recent times, films of this genre, including Brahmastra, Kalki 2898 AD, and others, have been widely appreciated by the audience for depicting ancient tales in a modern context and featuring characters. Hence, anticipation is high among people to watch another fantasy film, Vishwambhara, starring Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan. Discussing the film’s unique concept, the director, Mallidi Vassishta, stated that it will explore the various lokas of Hinduism.

Director reveals the unique theme of Vishwambhara

Director, Vassishta sat for an interview with Gulte and talked about the premise of his upcoming Telugu film, Vishwambhara. The filmmaker explained that in Hinduism, there are 14 lokas (lokalu in Telugu), which are different universes or planes of existence, other than our own on Earth. There are fourteen lokas, seven on top and seven on bottom, said Vassishta. As many other films have already explored this concept, the Bimbisara director has taken it a step further and set the film in Satya Lok (Satya Lokam in Telugu), where Lord Brahma resides. Talking about the theme of Vishwambhara, Vassishta said:

“There are 14 lokalu, 7 on top and 7 on the bottom. Numerous filmmakers have already explored different worlds in the manner they want. I decided to go a step further. Vishwambhara takes place in the Satya lokam where Lord Brahma resides. We have already seen films where Yama lokam and Svarga lokam are explored. I wanted to do something different.”
