The GB Women’s Quad set the initial pace, winning the 500m team HanseWerk Ergo Cup on the first day. They then took third place in the intense 300m Stadtwerke SH Sprint Cup sprints on the water on Saturday, before rounding off their weekend with another third place in the gruelling 12.7lm SH Netz Cup itself on the Sunday behind the Netherlands and Germany.

Competition was particularly fierce in the men’s international eights. GB took bronze in all three events, and were just edged out of silver by Ukraine after a fantastic side-by-side tussle in Sunday’s marathon, which was won by Germany
