Guns.com Auctions Goes Live | OHUB News

As a firearm collector, like many of you, I rely on several primary sources for finding vintage or collectible firearms. I often use ArmsList, GunBroker, and Rock Island Auction House. While these options work, the market needs a more innovative approach to purchasing quality used guns without the added hassle or fees that other platforms often impose.

What Is It?

In simplest terms, Guns.com Auctions “brings the Second Amendment community the ultimate auction experience with trusted sellers, a huge inventory of pre-owned firearms, no-reserve listings, and zero-hassle transactions.”

But of course, what does it do differently compared to the others?

  • No ghost bidders. A registered user submits each bid with the intention of winning.
  • No reserves and no hidden fees. Bid with confidence in a transparent and fair experience.
  • No post-auction hassles. Payments and firearm transfers are handled securely through Guns.com’s excellent customer service.
  • No uncertainty. All firearms are backed by Guns.com’s trusted network of over 2,000 licensed dealers.

A Word From Guns.com

This all sounds good. There must be a better option than what’s currently in place. Guns.com Co-CEO and CMO Greg Minkler had this to say:

“We’ve listened to what gun owners want, and we’re excited to give them the auction experience they deserve. Our mission is to deliver the best online shopping experience for millions of gun owners, and our new Auctions platform raises the bar. We’ve taken everything customers love about Guns.com — our huge inventory, trusted dealer network, and excellent customer service — and added the thrill of bidding and winning.”

Zooming Out

Sellers must go through a vetting process with Guns.com before they can list items for sale, which sets it apart from other platforms. This requirement ensures that Guns.com upholds a higher standard among its dealers. In contrast, on other sites, anyone with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) can post items for sale, regardless of their business practices or reputation. Moreover, users must register for free and complete a simple verification process to effectively limit bots and scammers. Consequently, Guns.com provides a safer purchasing environment for its customers.
