Lieutenant Commander Dave Miln (Team Australia) – A fighter in every sense, Dave’s journey to the lnvictus Games has been one of resilience and adaptation.
After losing both legs in a tragic accident in 2022, he threw himself into adaptive sport.
Today, as he raced through the water, he wasn’t just swimming-he was proving that no setback is too great to overcome.
Squadron Leader Samantha May (Team UK)
A devastating leg injury could have ended Samantha’s active lifestyle-but she refused to let it.
Turning to adaptive sports, she found new purpose and strength.
Today, competing across multiple disciplines, she showcased her incredible determination, leaving everything she had in the pool.
But Samantha’s race didn’t end at the finish-her first instinct was to turn and find her teammate Angela Holland, cheering her on with the same fire she had just raced with.

Massimiliano Riccio, serving in the Carabinieri, represented Italy in Swimming at lnvictus Games 2025.

Following his time at the lnvictus Games Dusseldorf 2023, his journey to the lnvictus Games 2025 embodies the transformative power of sport, showing how it can help overcome even the toughest challenges and inspire strength and resilience.
Visually impaired but never defeated, Mike’s presence in the pool was a masterclass in pushing limits.

Competing across multiple events, Mike showcased unwavering determination, earning several medals along the way.
