Famous Kannada actor, Upendra Rao and his wife, Priyanka Upendra Rao, are the latest victims of cybercrime. The two were left in shock when perpetrators accessed their phones by hacking them, and they went on to send messages to several of their associates. In the message, the fraudsters asked for a huge amount of money.
Upendra Rao and his wife’s phones get hacked
For the unversed, the hackers first targeted Upendra Rao’s wife, Priyanka’s phone. She had made an online purchase from an e-commerce website based in Dubai and was looking for the delivery of her order. Priyanka received a call in the morning of September 16, 2025. The caller identified himself as an executive of the company and told her that the delivery partner wasn’t able to locate her address.
