(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 13 – The humanitarian crisis in Gaza must be resolved immediately, Pope Leo XIV said on his arrival in the papal summer residence of Castel Gandolfo Wednesday.
“Yes, very much so, the humanitarian crisis must be resolved, and we cannot continue like this. We know the violence of terrorism and we respect the many who have died, as well as the hostages. We need their release, but we also need to think of the many who are dying of hunger,” Leo XIV said responding to a question about whether he was concerned about the possibility of deporting the population of Gaza. Pope Leo responded while entering Villa Barberini for a period of rest. (ANSA).
