(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 6 – Gian Piero Gasperini is the new coach of AS Roma, the Giallorossi said Friday saying that the 67-year-old former Atalanta tactician was “the right man” for the job.
Gasperini, signed a three-year contract with Roma.
His successful nine-year stint at the Bergamo club peaked with victory in the 2023-24 Europa League.
Roma issued a statement saying that “the owners and (outgoing manager) Claudio Ranieri are convinced that Gasperini is the right man for this role” adding that “Gasperini’s career so far has been characterised by innovative tactics, a work ethic and an extraordinary ability to valorise players”.
