Val Kilmer, Star of ‘Top Gun,’ ‘Batman Forever,’ and ‘The Doors,’ Dead at 65

The actor was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 but had recovered. His daughter told the New York Times the cause of death was pneumonia.
