(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 4 – A 58-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with homicide after stabbing to death her husband in their home in Naples’ Vicaria-Mercato district, sources said.
The woman herself called the emergency services and said she acted out of self-defence following a knife attack by the 59-year-old man.
She was taken to city’s Vecchio Pellegrini Hospital for treatment for stab wounds.
The man was found dead in his bed, and the couple’s daughter and granddaughter were in the house at the time of the killing.
