World Armwrestling & Para-Armwrestling Championships 2025 – Day 2

Over 650 young athletes –a record number– competed, delivering outstanding performances and raising the level of the Championships.

Strong performances also came from Armenia, Moldova, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan,
Ukraine, and Norway.

Highlights by Gender
Female Juniors: Kazakhstan led the table with 14 gold medals, followed by
Turkiye and Slovakia.

Male Juniors: Georgia impressed with 18 gold medals, ahead of Kazakhstan and
Turkiye.

Yesterday’s matches confirmed the incredible depth and potential of junior armwrestling worldwide.

Today, the spotlight turns to the Masters categories, where legends of our sport
will step onto the stage: Masters 40+, Grand Masters 50+, Senior Grand Masters 60+,
Super Senior Masters 70+

Athletes will compete on both right and left arms, showcasing not only strength and
endurance, but also decades of dedication and passion for armwrestling.

The Championships, organized by the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) in
cooperation with the Bulgarian Armwrestling Federation, bring together more than
1,600 athletes and para-athletes from over 55 countries across all continents.
