Aishwarya Rai addressed the claims of Salman Khan banging on her apartment door
In an old interview with Filmfare in March 2002, Aishwarya Rai was asked to reveal tidbits about the rumours of Salman Khan banging on her apartment door relentlessly and her not opening it. To this, the actress cleared the air and said that she was exhausted after coming from the shoot of Devdas and immediately fell asleep after reaching home. She had no idea that Salman was out there banging on her door as she was fast asleep. In her words:
“Oof, such heavy weather was made about it. Yeah, I’d been shooting through the night for Devdas, I was completely pooped when I reached home. He spoke to me and said that he was coming over. I had a cup of hot chocolate and, before I knew it, fell into a deep sleep. I didn’t know when Salman arrived, I didn’t hear the knocks on the door. Obviously, he was worried, since he had spoken to me only half an hour before that.”
